Where Should I Take My Senior Photos?
When you’re planning your senior photos, one of the first questions is usually:
“Where should we take them?”
We could definitely go to a beautiful mountain view, find some wildflowers, and get those dreamy Colorado vibes… I always love doing that. You can’t go wrong with magical nature!!!
Buuuuut I also think your senior photos can be so much more fun and unique when we choose a location that actually means something to you!
Think About What You Love
Instead of only asking yourself, “What looks pretty? Where did my classmates take theirs?”
Think about:
What are my hobbies? Where do I love spending my time? Where do I go to feel safe? What am I obsessed with? Which places feel like me?
One of my seniors loves to read, so we took their photos in a bookstore! (see above)
Another is a musician and loves shopping for records, so we went to the local record store.
One senior loves the Denver art district, so we spent his session exploring downtown.
And another loves riding horses, so naturally… we went to the horse stables!
Your photos could be at your favorite coffee shop, a bookstore, the skatepark, an art studio, downtown, your favorite hiking trail, a horse stable… there are sooo many possibilities!
Make Them Feel Like YOU
Your senior photos are a little time capsule of who you are right now. So I don’t want you to choose a location just because it’s pretty. I want you to choose somewhere that makes you feel like yourself!
I want you to look back at your photos and think, “that was sooo me.”
If you’re having trouble brainstorming locations, send me a message! Tell me what you love, what you do, and where you spend your time, and I’d LOVE to help you come up with something fun.
Let’s create some magical art together :)
