Fog + Wildflowers on Flagstaff Mountain: Katie & Jacob's Dreamy Colorado Engagement Session
Cue the Twilight soundtrack…
The other evening, I met up with Katie and Jacob for their engagement session up on Flagstaff Mountain in Boulder, Colorado. And let me tell you—it was magical. We almost rescheduled due to rain, but I’m SO glad we didn’t! The almost-rainy, foggy vibes were exactly what I needed. We’re talking dense, misty, moody fog. Wildflowers everywhere (we didn’t step on them, don’t worry!).
It truly felt like a scene from Twilight ~
I’m so grateful that Katie and Jacob were down to embrace the weather! We wandered through open meadows and trails, letting the fog put on a show around us.
There’s something romantic about rainy weather—especially in Colorado couples photography. Soft light makes for the dreamiest tones and the most VIBRANT greens!
As long as the weather isn't unsafe or totally miserable, it’s always worth leaning into Colorado’s wild and ever-changing moods.
This session is a reminder that your engagement photos don’t have to be perfectly sunny with blue skies! In fact, cloudy weather is the BEST for dreamy, even lighting.
