Kaelyn + Blake’s Couples Session at South Mesa
When Kaelyn reached out to me about doing a couples photo session with her partner, I had a good feeling it was going to be a beautiful one. We decided to head to South Mesa Trailhead in Boulder, Colorado — one of my favorite locations for couples photos in Colorado. The scenery was showing off that day, with vibrant green grass, towering trees, and the kind of peaceful views that remind you why this state is such a dream for outdoor photography.
The weather was absolutely perfect — not too hot, not too chilly — just that dreamy kind of light that makes every photo feel like magic.
Kaelyn and her partner were immediately so comfortable together in front of the camera, laughing, running through the grass, soaking in the views. It was effortless and fun, and their love for each other came through in every single frame. I genuinely had tears in my eyes the whole time — just see how they look at each other!!!
What made this Colorado couples session really special is that it wasn’t for any particular occasion. Not an engagement shoot or an anniversary session — just a chance to document their relationship as it is right now. Sometimes, that’s the best reason to get photos taken. You don’t need a milestone to celebrate your love. You just need a little time, a beautiful backdrop, and someone to help you capture the moments you’ll want to remember later!
